It's been awhile...

Hi Blogworld!
Holy smokes, the events that you have missed!
First of all, I would love to say March 15th came and went without incident. But it didn't.
Here's the run down:
I stayed home that morning and cleaned the house, decided to go into work for the afternoon because Michael was busy anyway.
We went to go out for supper with our roommate and my sister, we were cut off by a pickup truck in my car and t-boned them, totalling off my car. The people in the other vehicle were totally un-harmed and completely at fault.
Now you may think by this statement that I drive (sorry, drove) a crappy little car if it can be totalled by t-boning someone. However, I drove a very nice mid-price range car with hardly any kilometers on it (yes, KMs, I live in Canada); but we were travelling on a 60km/hr road when they cut us off.
Michael needed four stitches in the back of his head, my sister and I came out with fat lips and bruises however my sister did break a blood vessel in her hand. Our roommate got the worst of it requiring forty stitches on her forehead, ten being on the sub-dermal level.
All things considered, we are very, very lucky. I was more concerned about Michael's emotional/mental state from this accident being on the same day as his terrible accident last year. But he was so strong, and is dealing with it very, very well.
We got more than we paid for, for my vehicle from the insurance company, so we have decided to pay off my vehicle loan and share our truck for a few months, putting the remainder of the insurance money towards the truck and concentrating our efforts on paying off the truck as quickly as possible before buying me a new vehicle. This way we only have one vehicle payment, which will be much less than Michael's truck is and we can share it. Michael can then proceed to pay off some more of our debt and by the end of the summer with the exception of my vehicle and our mortgage we will be debt free. Yay for that!
In other news, Michael is officially done WCB sanctioned physiotherapy and will either be going to school or getting a job right away. Which is excellent for him, he is absolutely itching to get out of the house and get back to work. The weather is finally starting to get nice again here and the last of the snow is finally disappearing. I absolutely cannot wait to get out in the yard again. We were barbecuing last night and discussing fertilizing the yard as well as spending the extra money to dog proof it for this year. We can't wait to spend the evenings outside again playing fetch with the pups.
Sidenote: Dog proofing would only work for Charlie (our dachshund), you can never truly dog proof a yard for a husky. Unless you had some sort of zoo exhibit yard. However, we would like Charlie and Grace to be able to roam the yard and stay outside so we'll put in our best effort.
Well, that seems like a long enough entry, congratulations if you're still reading! Can't wait until Easter, heading up to the biggest City in the province next to us with my parents for some rest, relaxation and fun!

Hope you all have a happy Easter!
